Events of the Week

Opening Pannel Discussion

We opened MenstruWeek with an insightful panel discussion, listening to experts in the field. We started with a presentation by Yara Dixon and Maria Carmen Punzi, Then, we listened to the stories of Nicole Römer from Neighborhood Feminists, Sara Monster from Hi Sally and Esther van Duin from Periodic.

Art Workshop

The Panel Discussion was followed by an Art Workshop, aiming at celebrating female bodies and the menstrual cycle, as part of our de-stigmatisation campaign. The workshop was co-hosted by Periodic and the Amnesty International Student Group Amsterdam.

Advocacy Skills Workshop

Together with expert Giuseppe Presti, we improved our advocacy skills and how to effectively raise awareness for the cause!

MenstruBoxes Workshop

After holding a ‘tampon-drive’ throughout the whole week, a group of volunteers helped us assemble MenstruBoxes on Friday at Badhuis Oedipus!

Advocacy in Action

We took our message to the street with volunteers, and convinced 40 cafés and restaurants across Amsterdam to provide free period products for their guest.

We want to make freely accessible period products the norm for everyone, not the exception!
